Soy Ginger Salmon

Instructions

Prepare the fish:

  • 2 salmon filet
  • Defrost
  • Sear 3 mins on each side on olive oil (instant pot)

While searing, mix:

  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon of lime juice
  • 1.5 tablespoons of toasted sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon of ground ginger
  • 0.5 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic-chili paste

When the salmon is done:

  • Pour sauce over salmon and sauté for 30 secs
  • Pour 2/3 cup of water, just enough to cover half the salmon filet height
  • Drizzle honey over salmon
  • Lightly season with salt or MSG
  • Pressure cook in Instant Pot for 1 minute on Manual High

When the Instant Pot is done:

  • Perform a quick release
  • Remove salmon and let rest
  • Mix 1-2 spoons of corn starch with a bit of water in a glass, then pour into Instant Pot
  • Set on high sauté and mix vigorously for 1 minute to thicken
  • Pour into sauce glass

Serving Instructions

Serve salmon over rice, with sauce on top, garnished with chopped green onions. Optionally serve with a side of broccoli.
